The weather for the week looks a little damp. A decision to ride today was going to be made prior to 0630. Alan said at least it’s mostly flat today. With a temperature of 46°and a discussion & NO Plan they decided I was to meet them about 8 miles up the road for further evaluation. as soon as we got outside in the parking lot of the motel there were sprinkle drops on the pavement. They mounted their rides before 0730 and took off. I’m at the rendezvous spot in Castle Rock WA awaiting their arrival and it’s more than a sprinkle now.

After a short break they wanted another 10 miles since there wasn’t precipitation falling that hard.

After break they wanted another 10 miles.

The lunch crowd here was FULL OF…..Advice! Small little joint with limited seating. They LOVED sharing stories with the guys. One gentleman said he was traveling over White Pass today to go get a load of Longhorns and offered to pull them over. Nonna, the volunteer waitress used to live in West Plains MO and had traveled all over the US. Carrot Cake & Pecan Pie were consumed! They have made it to Hwy 12 in Ethel WA.

I’m cold to the bone but I’m glad we got in the miles that we did.
