They are getting ready to depart the Ira Trailhead at 0806 @ 58° and a few sprinkles.

Once they figured out where they wanted their first stop to be about 9 miles it was easy to find a business along the route.

The second break was 14 miles away at Rootstown. The temperature is 66°.

During break it was discussed going to Canton. That was delayed due to the great riding weather today. That will be tabled until the weather is seen for tomorrow.
The next stopping point is the Hair of the Dog Grooming Parlor. It happens to be a business in someone’s home so I parked in a field entrance near it. They didn’t like it so they traveled further.

We had planned on eating at a golf course along the route in North Benton. A gentleman told me the Lady that runs it wasn’t here today & the door was locked. this town is the stopping point according to the spreadsheet. According to the forecast they are going to ride further today.

At lunch a reservation was made for an Airbnb in East Palestine, 32 miles after lunch. They wanted a break about 11 miles in and it happened to be at a motorcycle shop-closed on Mondays.
Next stop was supposed to be in a park at a walking trail. I saw they were a mile away and getting further. I was on my way to meet them and Al called. I said we’d take a break when I caught up to them. High Hope trucking is where we met.

When they hit the road they decided to meet at the State Line Tavern. I drove ahead to see if it was alright, the parking lot was full!

Buck’s Quote: It’s fantastic to be off the bike…. Welcome to Pennsylvania!!!
Al’s quote. Each turn brings new hope. Allow me to explain. In this area, we are making 30 turns a day. With each turn, we hope for smooth pavement, for low traffic, for a wide shoulder, and for a tailwind. Eternally optimistic!
Day 45. (NW of) Akron OH to (PA side of) East Palestine OH. 77 miles. 3,798 feet of climb. Enjoyable cool day.
